Minimum Position Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area and two (2) years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.
Special Conditions The department is especially interested in candidates with knowledge of University policies and procedures, experience using TigerBuy, Banner, E-courseware, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and expertise in Outlook calendar.
This is a Limited Position contingent upon funding availability.
Work Schedule Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
May need to work/travel beyond normal work schedule

Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Job Duties

Duties & Responsibilities Support office of Associate Dean for Research. Performs challenging and confidential administrative and operational support duties for the Associate Dean for Research (ADR) or assigned manager. Assists with projects, maintains records, and drafts reports. Tracks program processes and information and performs complex budget analysis and grant administration duties.
Duties & Responsibilities Provides administrative support for ADR or assigned manager using standard office software to compose and/or type memoranda, correspondence, reports, department schedules, instructional materials, spreadsheets, forms and other documents. Screens meeting requests and maintains the manager’s calendar. Drafts, proofreads and/or edits a variety of materials. Ensures materials, reports and documents for signature are accurate and complete. Takes, transcribes and distributes meeting minutes. Copying, printing and/or distributing of materials, calendar and travel.
Duties & Responsibilities First point of contact for all research related issues within the LCON including responding to requests for information and direction on behalf of the ADR and may act as the key administrative support person for the unit. Follows up on various assignments to ensure that needed action is taken. Performs routine public relations duties over the phone and in person. Responds independently to correspondence and email inquiries regarding a variety of department matters, telecommunications, & IT for the office. Oversees organization and set up of office and lab space for research staff.
