About the opportunity

Southern Cross Analytical Research Services (SCARS) at Southern Cross University provides commercial and research analytical services from two key teams: Environmental Analysis Laboratory (EAL) and Analytical Research Laboratory (ARL). The SCARS team is seeking an Administration Assistant to provide a broad range of integral administrative support to these teams. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Enter commercial and research sample information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Liaise with external laboratories regarding results, invoicing and accounts, and send sampling kits to clients.
  • Collate and file documents, order stationery and equipment, respond to enquiries and direct or assist as required.
  • Assist Field Sampling Officer with sample collection.

About you

You will have strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work in a close team environment. More specifically, you will have:

  • Experience in a range of general office and computer-based systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with good oral and written communication skills.

Salary and benefits

  • Full-time, continuing (permanent).
  • Located at Lismore.
  • HEW Level 3. The base salary ranges from $60,174 – $65,704 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $76,873.
