Job Description
The CVM Professional Programs Administrative Assistant provides administrative support for the Associate and Assistant Deans in the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Professional Programs office. This includes managing business travel needs; completing expense reports, procurement and purchasing, payables submissions; managing calendars and meeting requests; coordinating committee meetings and making meeting arrangements; handling and conveying sensitive and confidential information while maintaining confidentiality; recording, transcribing and maintaining meeting minutes as needed; responding to inquiries and preparing routine and complex correspondence; assisting with special projects; answering phones and providing basic reception duties as needed. The CVM Professional Programs Administrative Assistant also assists with special events for the Associate and Assistant Deans in the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Professional Programs office, and the DVM students. Additionally, the CVM Professional Programs Administrative Assistant may also provide administrative support to the Professional Programs Offices as requested by the Associate and Assistant Deans. May occasionally require additional hours in the evening or weekends to support special events.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
Computer skills – Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Cloud. Excellent communication skills – individual and team. Minimum 2 years in an administrative position.  Excellent organizational skills and ability to anticipate needs. Ability to work in a busy environment with multiple individuals. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to provide exceptional service to students, and colleagues. Experience in service based industry. Prior Workday experience is a plus.

Additional Information:

Physical Requirements: Sitting for extended periods of time. Mostly computer work and looking at a screen. Event set up of equipment and supplies < 50lbs and mobility during events.

The Targeted Hiring Range for this position is $22.16 -$29.54 per hour.
