Adjunct Professor in Accounting, beginning Spring 2023 

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is currently seeking a Part-Time Adjunct Professor of Accounting in the Division of Management & Education, beginning Spring 2023.

Requirements: Masters, Ph.D., or D.B.A. in Accounting.  Must have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates.  Experience teaching at the university or collegiate level is preferred.  Preference will be given to applicants with relevant work experience. A minimum of 3-years of experience working with college students from diverse backgrounds and applied experience in the field of expertise is required.   

Responsibilities:  Applicants must be able to teach 3-6 credits per semester.  Applicants must be able to teach the following course:  Advanced Accounting.  Tax Experience and Advanced Certification from the IRS are highly preferred.

Preference will be given to applicants with relevant work experience in addition to academic credentials, as this campus is a teaching institution.  Our institution is not public accounting focused, and we do not offer a Master’s Program designed to meet the 150-hour requirement necessary for the Certified Public Accounting examination.  While some of our graduates find employment in public accounting, instruction is directed toward public and private-sector employment.
