| Position Summary | Looking to hire a substance abuse therapist. Key Responsibilities Include: * Contributes to the development of individualized treatment plan incorporating individual counseling, group therapy, referral to outside organizations, Twelve-Step programs, and other counseling techniques, modalities and approaches. * Provides group therapy to patients using evidence based modalities. Facilitates group therapy sessions at weekly and monthly intervals. Monitors the patient’s program attendance, abstinence rates, progress and attendance at related appointments or referrals. * Develops and implements resources and programs which enhance service delivery, or in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. * Contributes to record of patient activity, progress, discharge summary and aftercare plan. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Masters in Social Work. Must have knowledge about pharmacological treatment for addiction and/or other mental illness. Must also have knowledge of ASAM criteria and evidence based models utilized in the treatment of substance abuse disorders. |
| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Preferred experience in conducting MAT group therapy and/or motivational interviewing and transtheoretical model approaches |
