Job Description

The Opportunity
 
The Department of Mathematics, Science, and, Technology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide is seeking Adjunct Faculty for in-person instruction of MATH111- Pre-calculus for Aviation. Successful candidates will be hired on a part-time, per course basis to teach MATH 111 at one of our site locations located in:

  • San Diego, CA

  • San Francisco, CA

  • Los Angeles, CA

  • Seattle, WA

  • Phoenix, AZ

 
Course Description
 
This is a pre-calculus course designed for students interested in careers in aviation. Topics include a review of the fundamentals of algebra; linear equations and inequalities, quadratic equations; variation; polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions; radian measures; right triangle solutions, vectors and the laws of sines and cosines.

Applicant Qualifications
 
A minimum of a Master’s degree in discipline is required (please see list of acceptable disciplines below).
 
Degrees Within the Teaching Discipline
 

  • Mathematics (MS or PhD)

  • Applied Mathematics

  • Physics
