Accounting Specialist – Matching Gift Coordinator – 517525

Pay Grade/Pay Range:  56 Hourly (non-exempt) – Minimum – $ 14.92 Midpoint – $ 21.78

Department/Organization: 301102 – Advancement Services

Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: Under limited supervision, performs basic professional accounting assignments requiring knowledge of accounting theory and principles.

Additional Department Summary: This position serves as the matching gifts coordinator for the Office of Advancement Services. Responsibilities include serving as the liaison between corporations and foundations that have a matching gift relationship with UA, communicating with other departments on campus regarding matching gift designation, ensuring compliance with matching company guidelines, managing matching gift acknowledgement letter process and communicating effectively with donors for all matching gift questions and concerns, and recording and reconciling matching gifts and other donations to the University.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; OR Associate’s degree and two (2) years bookkeeping or accounting experience; OR Bachelor’s degree with some bookkeeping or accounting experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication skills are required.
