Our client who is a Self-Clearing Broker-Dealer in the New York Metropolitan area is seeking a highly motivated, talented candidate with a minimum of 2 to 4 years of accounting experience at a Self-Clearing Broker-Dealer. This position provides analytical and accounting assistance to the Financial Control team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a willingness to grow and learn about all aspects of financial reporting as it relates to a Self-Clearing Broker-Dealer.Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
2 – 4 years of experience in an accounting department.
Extensive experience using MS Excel. Must be able to work with large amounts of data including Pivot tables, Lookups and a wide range of formulas.
Working with accounting software, preferably Oracle.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to multitask and prioritize time sensitive assignments.
Excellent research and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively seek solutions.
Gatekeeper of highly sensitive and confidential information.Salary: $ 80,000 – $ 100,000The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives.
