Normal Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: Under general supervision, performs a variety of specialized or technical accounting support services following established procedures.

Additional Department Summary: The Accounting Assistant supports the day-to-day business operations function for Housing and Residential Communities (HRC). Completes purchases. Hires student staff. Assists with reconcilements for 20+ ORGs.

Responsible for completing required training and promoting a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace. Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; OR an Associate’s degree and one (1) year of accounting or bookkeeping experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree with some accounting or bookkeeping experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Intermediate-level knowledge in Microsoft Excel. Proficient in Microsoft programs. Ability to continuously learning new and adopt technologies and computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and formulas such as VLOOKUP). Proficient with various business tools (DocuSign, SharePoint, Office 365, web technologies, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.).
