Minimum Qualifications Required: (please be specific and respond to every question; indicate none if not applicable)

Education required to ensure success in this position:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area, required

Experience required to ensure success in this position:
•    Three or more years related experience, with substantive knowledge and experience across a wide variety of accounting functions.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, ability to develop positive working relationships.
•    Eagerness to participate in continuing education.

•    Interact with integrated computerized financial system;
•    Work independently and collaboratively;

License, certification, or registration necessary:
•    Valid Driver’s License
•    Required background checks
•    CPA preferred

Brief summary of this position:
Assists the Controller with New Markets Tax Credit administration and compliance.  Oversees non-resident alien, payroll, and accountable plan tax compliance.  Maintains the Banner grant module.  Coordinates annual Retirement Plan audit and Single Audit under Uniform Guidance.  Assists with hydro project and planned giving administration and accounting.

Primary duties and responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. •    Assists Controller with New Markets Tax Credit administration and compliance.
•    Oversees non-resident alien, payroll, and accountable plan tax compliance.
•    Reviews the preparation of annual IRS Form 990, 990-T, and 990-PF.
•    Reviews and approves all payroll tax returns, i.e. Form 941, various state and local payroll returns.
•    Completes and files annual IRS Forms 1042 and 1042-S.
•    Coordinates annual Retirement Plan Audit and IRS Form 5500 preparation.
•    Maintains grant module in Banner.
•    Assists with year-end grant reporting and preparation of annual Schedule of Federal Expenditures.
•    Coordinates annual Single Audit under Uniform Guidance.
•    Assists Controller with hydro project administration and accounting.
•    Assists with planned giving administration and accounting.
Other roles/duties will be assigned as necessary to assist the College in the attainment of the goals set forth and the enhancement of a positive, respectful learning environment for all staff, faculty and students.
