Accountant in Villa Park, Illinois

Description We are inviting applications for the role of an Accountant, based in Villa Park, Illinois. In this role, you will be operating within the finance industry, handling various accounting tasks and utilizing your skills in Sage 300, Budgeting, QuickBooks, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP). This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the entire accounting process including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions

• Use QuickBooks for daily accounting tasks and activities

• Regularly monitor all accounting data and prepare accurate financial statements

• Utilize Sage 300 software for efficient and effective financial management and reporting

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the organization’s budget using your budgeting skills

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards

• Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Demonstrable experience in budgeting and financial forecasting

• Proficiency in using accounting software, specifically QuickBooks and Sage 300

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

• Good organizational and time management abilities

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience in financial reporting, tax preparation, and auditing

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated ability to adhere to ethical accounting practices

• Professional certification, such as CPA or CMA, is preferred.
