Accountant in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for general ledger management, journal entries, budget forecasting, and utilizing various accounting software systems. This role is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.

• Prepare and record journal entries as part of the company’s financial reporting process.

• Develop and maintain budgets, including the ability to forecast future budget requirements.

• Utilize accounting software systems, such as Netsuite, to streamline and optimize accounting processes.

• Collaborate and communicate with the CFO and other members of the accounting department.

• Apply knowledge of accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Conduct regular auditing to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.

• Manage balance sheet accounts, ensuring all financial information is accurate and up-to-date.

• Utilize knowledge of non-profit accounting and fund accounting, if applicable.

• Assist in the training of new staff members, providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in their roles.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with Netsuite

• Knowledge of Cl Programming

• Experience with Concur

• Understanding of ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to execute Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing skills

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account

• Knowledge of Fund Accounting – Non-Profit

• Experience in Non-profit Accounting

• Understanding of Grant Accounting
