Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in San Francisco, California. This role falls within the financial services industry – specifically wealth management and family office, and involves a variety of tasks, including client communication, financial document management, corporate accounting functions, and support for the administrative team and client services.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients’ CPAs and lawyers, facilitating the exchange of financial documents, taxes, and estate planning information

• Oversee the sourcing of financial documents and manage client inquiries and wire requests in coordination with financial planners

• Collaborate with the external fund accounting team to handle financial notices from underlying investments, such as Capital Call, Distribution notices, Capital Statement, Financial Statements, K-1s, and other investment-related notices

• Manage and track information requests from audit and tax providers, ensuring timely and accurate responses

• Perform various corporate accounting functions, such as processing accounts payable and receivable, coding journal entries, conducting bank reconciliations, and executing wire transfers

• Assist the Controller with month-end close account reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurately balanced

• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed, providing support to the administrative team and client services.

Requirements

• BS Degree – In Accounting or Finance

• 4+ years of Accounting Experience

• Familiarity with fund admin or fund accounting concepts ; accounting for a financial services firm
