Accountant in Plano, Texas

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the manufacturing industry for an Accountant located in Plano, Texas, United States. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our team, focusing on general ledger functions, financial statement analysis, specialized accounting tasks, and assisting staff with accounting information.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct general ledger tasks required for each period closing, including creating journal entries and reconciling various accounts.

• Analyze and review financial statements or accounting records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

• Carry out specialized accounting tasks such as cost and inventory accounting and revenue recognition.

• Participate in the preparation for month-end and year-end closing.

• Provide assistance to other staff in understanding and generating appropriate accounting information as needed.

• Investigate financial discrepancies and propose effective resolutions.

• Collect, monitor, and analyze financial accounting data and generate financial reports as required.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to finish assigned accounting tasks within set deadlines.

• Maintain accurate and current filing systems.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP – Financial Services

• Knowledge in Cl Programming

• Familiarity with Concur

• Understanding of ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning

• Capability to perform Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Competency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Auditing

• Ability to manage Balance Sheet Accounts
