Accountant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accountant in CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports. The Accountant will also handle eligibility tasks and customer service duties.

Responsibilities

• Handle the posting of investments and reconcile to internal systems

• Conduct monthly reconciliations of multiple bank statements

• Manage the process of payroll tax deposits and prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns

• Prepare annual Forms 1099 and review monthly financial statements

• Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary information

• Obtain and enter new member information, and manage the addition and termination of dependents

• Send enrollment and information packets to members approaching initial eligibility

• Handle customer service tasks such as answering phone calls and assisting members with inquiries

• Scan and attach paperwork to member files and move annual records to storage after audits are completed

• Utilize accounting software systems to perform accounting functions and account analysis. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is essential

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is required

• Capability to perform Account Analysis effectively

• Must have knowledge of Accounting Entries

• Familiarity with all Accounting Functions is necessary

• Experience in Account Reconciliation is crucial

• Must possess skills in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
