The Student Health Care Center at The University of Florida within the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine (CHFM) is seeking an Accountant II. Responsible for ensuring appropriate internal controls in all financial processes and procedures. Performs account reconciliation and produce monthly and quarterly financial reports for all SHCC-related finances; Compile, analyze and keeps record of historical data. The Accountant II will analyze revenue and expenditure trends, recommend appropriate budget levels and expenditure control measures. This position is responsible for compiling all reporting requests from General Accounting Reviews, analyzes and approves expenditures, and monitors fund balances. The Accountant II provides continual account analysis to ensure accuracy of accounting methods and appropriate use of funds confirms compliance with all grant/contract requirements and University policies and procedures. This position will research and work with appropriate departments to resolve discrepancies in accounting data which includes internal auditing and analyzing fiscal data. The Accountant II will serve as liaison with UF and UF Health financial offices and department personnel, and will perform other related financial accounting activities as needed.

Expected Salary: |
The salary range is between $45,000 to $55,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience. |
Minimum Requirements: |
A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. |
