OverviewWe are CalAmp, a connected intelligence company that gives people the ability to track, monitor and recover their vital assets with real-time visibility and insights.Currently, we are seeking a Account Executive with at least 10+ years of experience, based in California, Texas or Colorado. - Build and nurture relationships with public sector plans, becoming a trusted partner and advisor through development and presentation of value-add solutions, driving growth, and mind share.
- Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to grow CalAmp’s presence within the government K12 space.
- Negotiate contracts and manage complex sales processes.
- Resilience to withstand long lead times and government budgeting and procurement practices
- Self-starter with ability to work independently, prioritize work and coordinate multiple tasks within tight time constraints
QualificationsMust Haves
- 8+ years of proven success in B2B sales leadership, ideally in technology or telecommunications.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in CRM systems and sales analytics tools Salesforce.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Demonstrated track record of exceptional performance against goals
Strong Pluses
- 10+ years of direct sales experience selling complex, multi-stakeholder solutions, ideally in the SaaS, IoT, Telematics, etc., preferred)
- Proven ability to navigate public school procurement processes, including RFPs/RFIs.
- 5+ years of direct sales experience specific to Public Sector
