Duties of the Role
The Academic Services Supervisor is responsible for providing high quality professional support services to programme directors and other academic staff at the Essex Business School Colchester Campus, and will be expected to work in accordance with the School’s principles, values and behaviours.
As a key member of this team, the Academic Services Supervisor acts as the lead administrator for student assessment and Exam Boards for postgraduate taught and research programmes, including management of the assessment and quality assurance processes. You will also develop extensive professional knowledge and experience of the University’s assessment related policies and procedures, acting as the School’s key professional contact for assessment matters and providing input into strategic and collaborative decisions which will shape the future development of the School’s assessment processes.

Qualifications and Skills required
We would like an individual who is proactive, with exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills to join our team.
You will be an excellent communicator and will thrive on working in a busy environment and will have the ability to develop strong working relationships with both academic and professional services colleagues. You will have proven, extensive administrative experience in a challenging and complex role along with excellent IT skills, with experience of accurate data entry coupled with a familiarity with student record databases or equivalent.
