Academic Programmes Assistant

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Academic Programmes Assistant to join the Academic Programmes Centre (APC) at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, which was established in 2021 to provide the highest level of support for all of its current and future educational offerings including its DPhil programme and multiple post-graduates taught courses.

Reporting to the Academic Programme Officer, you will provide administrative support to the Officer and the Course Director for the MSc Modelling for Global Health programme in the areas of student admissions, student assessments, student progression and participation as well as general administrative support. You will also be key in managing the international placement process for the cohort, which happens in their third term.

It is essential that you are educated to GCSE-level standard (grade C/4 in English and Maths) or equivalent qualification, together with previous administrative experience. You will have excellent written and spoken English language skills, coupled with solid Microsoft Office abilities. You will have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate and engage with students and academic colleagues across the Department. You will be able to prioritise your work effectively, and have ability to work independently, when required. You may also be called upon to deputise for the Programme Officer on occasion or to assist APC administrative colleagues, in order to cover annual leave or illness.  Flexible arrangements can be considered with regards to working hours and hybrid.
