| Department Summary | The Department of Medical Education provides educational support services to TCOM and to other health science center programs. Faculty and staff in the department schedule medical school classes, coordinate the scheduling of all other classes, support curriculum development activities in the medical school, conduct faculty development programs designed for relevant professional development of all faculty, and contribute to educational research. Medical Education assists with basic science and clinical science faculty review, and provides staff support to the Curriculum Committee and course director groups that carry out the improvement and development of our osteopathic curriculum. |
| Position Overview | This position will be responsible for the management of TCOM’s multi-faceted Professional Identity and Health Systems Practice course which spans all four years of medical school. The employee will lead, coordinate and implement all activities related to the organization, implementation, tracking, and improvement of each course sections (Ethics, Innovation, Patient Safety, Population/Public Health, IPE, Health Promotion/Disease Prevention). Primary job responsibilities will include working with the Chair of Medical Education and Health Systems Science, the Director of Health Systems Science, Leadership and Innovation, curriculum and course directors, course coordinators, and faculty on the organization and implementation of all course sections. |

Job Duties
| o | Lead, oversee, and implement the day-to-day duties of the Years 1-4 PIHSP curriculum by supporting the course and section directors and other stakeholder staff and faculty. |

| o | Organize, lead and collaborate with Years 1-2 Academic Program Managers on the development of the Years 1-4 PIHSP academic calendar for each semester for submission to the curriculum committee. |

| o | Coordinate and reserve necessary locations and resources for curricular activities. |

| o | Organize, lead, and collaborate with stakeholders on the development of the Years 1-4 syllabi for each course for submission to the curriculum committee. |

| o | Prepare reports and summary of curriculum such as faculty hours, course hours, objectives, and other data pertinent to the continuous maintenance and improvement of the curriculum. |

| o | Create and manage online platforms (e.g., Canvas, SharePoint, etc) for the posting of course materials and assessments. |

| o | Collaborate with other course coordinators/administrative coordinators to support the implementation of other curriculum events as needed. |
