For more information about IES Abroad, visit: .Ihre AufgabenThe Academic Program Coordinator for our Study Abroad Program plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of our academic offerings at the Vienna Center. This involves overseeing over 80 course offerings for more than 250 students per semester, taught by more than 70 adjunct faculty members. The job includes a combination of administrative tasks, communication duties, and student advising responsibilities. The Academic Program Coordinator’s role is essential to providing a cohesive teaching and learning experience for both the Vienna Center students and faculty members.Key Responsibilities:

  • Faculty Communication and Engagement:
  • Acts as the primary contact point for inquiries by faculty and liaises between them and the Center’s academic team.
  • Assists with recurring academic procedures and processes, including class scheduling, class excursions, and faculty meetings.
  • Communicates all relevant information and academic policies to faculty on behalf of the Academic team.
  • Organizes new faculty onboarding and conducts orientation sessions for new faculty members prior to the start of each semester and provides ongoing support for faculty throughout their appointment.
  • Student Advising:
  • Throughout the semester, assists in the academic advising process
  • Provides support and guidance to students, helping them navigate academic requirements and course selections.

Ihr Profil

  • An undergraduate degree or higher
  • Excellent English and German skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2-3 years relevant work experience, preferably in an academic or administrative environment

Requirements:

  • Valid Austrian work permit
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary

  • Highly skilled at managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
