Job Summary Oversees the accurate and timely processing of faculty personnel actions in People Soft and faculty searches in People Admin. Serves as the primary point of contact to colleges to provide guidance on academic personnel life cycle processes including faculty postings, recruitment, appointments, reappointments leave, retirement, separation and reviews. Partners with AHR leadership to identify potential patterns, trends, recommendations, and brings concerns forward for consideration, utilizing metrics and data analysis. Serves as the primary source for maintaining faculty personnel records. Responsible for training administrators on academic personnel life cycle processes, which includes scheduling and coordinating training classes, creating training materials, maintaining hiring and search resources including manuals, SOP’s and additional resources. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversees the accurate and timely processing of faculty personnel actions of assigned colleges.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact to assigned colleges to provide guidance on academic personnel life cycle processes including faculty postings, faculty recruitment, instructor assignments, faculty appointments & reappointments and faculty reviews, including dossier submission.
  • Partners with AHR leadership to identify potential patterns, trends, recommendations, and brings concerns forward for consideration, utilizing metrics and data analysis.
  • Serves as the primary source for maintaining faculty personnel records and managing official faculty counts.
  • Responsible for training administrators on academic personnel life cycle processes, which includes creating training materials and maintaining procedural manuals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources administration or a related field, or the equivalent experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Preferred Qualifications Experience reviewing and interpreting UTA Academic Personnel Policies and Procedures. Experience working within the academic and administrative structure of institutions of higher education. Knowledge of UTA campus departments and central administrative offices, their services, and roles.
