DUTIES

The School of Nursing, Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner program requires the services of a Subject Matter Expert to teach the theory in NURS 5310.

The focus of NURS 5310 is on examining the social, economic, political, and ethico-legal issues that influence the professional and intra-professional roles of nurse practitioners as advanced practice nurses.The successful applicant will work under the guidance of the MN-NP Coordinator, and in collaboration with NP faculty to provide course content appropriate to the level required for MN-NP students.

Experience teaching nurse practitioner students is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD (or equivalent) is preferred
  • MNNP qualification is required
  • Current NP registration in a Canadian jurisdiction in good standing without limits or conditions, and/or eligibility for registration with BCCNM
  • Three (3) years full time or equivalent in the role of a Nurse Practitioner
  • Evidence of continuous learning in your area of nursing
  • An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian healthcare system

Pay Band
$2,500.48 – $2,500.48 ( Sessional Faculty – Academic (per credit) )
