In this role, you will be counted on to understand capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses and the effectiveness of mitigations for cybersecurity solutions in the 5G telecommunications environment. This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis abilities to adequately assess and inform operators and senior leadership or commanders on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures for security cooperation. Your role will be vital in the development of innovative solutions to support threat mitigation in emerging technology fields.
What You’ll Work On:
- Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
- Implement infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
- Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas; leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:
– Experience with security principles, approaches, and technologies
– Experience with vulnerability management, vulnerability analysis, and security controls
– Ability to develop blueprints, models, reports, and guidelines from identified weaknesses of systems
– Ability to perform information system security vulnerability scanning to discover and analyze vulnerabilities to support the characterization of risk to networks, operating systems, applications, databases, and other information system components
– Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
– HS diploma or GED and 15 years of experience as a Cyber Security Engineer, Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience as a Cyber Security Engineer, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, System Engineering, or Cyber security
Nice If You Have:
– Experience with 5G features and architectures
– Experience with SIEM, vulnerability scanning, network, and penetration testing tools such as Nessus, Wireshark, Kali Linux, Burp Suite, TCPDump, Metasploit, OpenVAS, or Splunk
– Experience with cloud native architectures and technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Openstack
– Knowledge of telecommunication protocols, architecture, and processes, including air interface protocols
– Knowledge of penetration testing methodologies including NIST SP 800-115, STRIDE, and MITRE ATT&CK

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
