| Job Description: |
Conduct research videofluoroscopic swallowing exams using a Philips BV Endura C-Arm and TIMS DICOM interfaced for funded Aerodigestive Research Core lab studies in the laboratory and inpatient setting. Job duties include but are not limited to: prepare and set up fluoroscopy room, prepare bolus stimulus tray, mix barium consistencies in accordance with the International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative definitions, and Flow Test. Position videofluoroscopy equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance. Use beam-restrictive devices and patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to research participant and employees. Position research participant, set up, and adjust equipment to obtain optimum view of the swallowing mechanism. Process exposed radiographs using film processors or computer generated methods. Explain procedures to research participants to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation. Responsible for saving and coding procedures to the Aerodigestive Research Core lab server. |

$25.00 to $26.34 per hour, negotiable based on skills and experience |
| Minimum Requirements: |
Certification as a general radiographer in accordance with Chapter 468, Florida Statutes. Licensed in accordance with Chapter 468.304, Florida Statutes. |
