2nd Shift Custodial Supervisor

Bethel University

Oversee and perform the evening cleaning and event needs for assigned area within academic buildings.

  • Supervise a Student Crew to complete nightly and event cleaning. Ensure student crew clean assigned areas effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist in nightly cleaning. Provide exceptional customer service to the Bethel community through the completion of assigned work orders, projects and event set ups.
  • Oversee one of the major summer projects.
  • Maintain a regimen for cleaning and monitor all supplies or equipment needed to complete it.
  • Cover areas for coworkers on assigned Saturdays, their nights off, academic breaks and occasional holidays.
  • Serve the community with Royal Care particularly when requests come up (Unlocks, tables, other last minute requests).
  • Handle issues with inclement or severe weather.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate others is essential
  • Must have a strong service orientation, organizational and communication skills, supervisory experience, and exceptionally high standards. 
  • Basic computer skills required (email, online forms, browsing)
  • Must have a strong customer orientation and be committed to building a team that provides superior service to Bethel and local community.

Two to three years of progressively responsible experience in custodial field.

Requires a high school degree or equivalent.

May require overtime for weekends or large campus events.

 

Vacation is limited around the start and end of the school year.

 

This position is considered essential personnel and must be available outside of normal working hours if needed to support contingency operations such as snow removal or support of special events.
