| Job Description: | The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is the intellectual home for clinical and translational research and training at UF, integrating and synergizing the scientific and educational activities of 15 colleges, two academic and clinical campuses, two regional healthcare systems and the 67 counties of the State of Florida. The Research Administrator II (RA II) is responsible for coordinating administration of assigned contracts and grants which are awarded to the MD/PhD program and the TL1 (T32) and KL2 (K12) Grants within the Clinical and Translational Science Institute funded through the National Institutes of Health (NIH), from inception to closing to assure compliance with the terms and conditions of the respective agreements in a high level of integration with the CTSI’s NCATS UL1 (UM1) pre-award and post-award processes and coordination. Pre and Post Award: Responsible for developing, coordinating and setting up budgets for Scholars/Trainees and PI’s within the CTSI. When CTSI NIH award is received, Res. Admin II, will release funds for spending through UF Awards or Journals entries. Identifies need for temporary funding requests, and prepares all necessary forms for the release of those funds. Monitors set up and spending of each program. Help coordinate and dispense chartfields for each program. Assists in the request for extensions on their projects, and account status. Keeps the Executive Director of Administration advised of the status of the accounts, especially as projects end. Ensures that expenditures are cleared, and the account is ready to be closed by the university. Monitors the daily project activities for the contract or grant by checking the balances in the various categories of expenditure, as awarded by the granting agency. Also monitors expenditures for compliance with Cost Accounting Standards. Assesses the need for and authorizes re-budgeting of funds to different categories, for the proper and timely progress of the research project |
| Expected Salary: | $58,000 – $62,000 |
| Minimum Requirements: | Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in grant and contract administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
