Job Description:

The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an exceptional Manager of Clinical Research to join our dynamic team and spearhead the revitalization of our research mission. This exciting opportunity allows for various responsibilities, which include overseeing the regulatory and logistical operation of the research mission. Collaborating closely with the Vice Chair of Research and our esteemed Principle Investigators (PIs), you will have the opportunity to oversee and support scientific collaborations throughout the entire investigation life cycle.

As the Clinical Research Manager, you have the exciting opportunity to focus on and maintain scientific collaboration with our PIs over the life cycle of the entire investigation, from inception and proposal development to protocol implementation and analysis.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Direct the clinical research operations in collaboration with all key research stakeholders to ensure that clinical research and related activities are performed in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with PIs in generating study proposals and perform assessments as needed.
  • Oversee the preparation of all department IRB/WIRB approved investigations.
  • Collaborates with PIs and research coordinators to prepare IRB and any other regulatory submission documents.
  • Lead a growing research staff and foster a collaborative environment.

Expected Salary:

$80,000 – $90,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in appropriate areas of specialization and two years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

Familiarity with database construction, data collection and entry.

Previous manuscript preparation experience preferred.

Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication.

Ability to understand, interpret and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Ability to independently perform various administrative tasks.

Ability to collect and organize data for scientific presentation and publication.
