Job Description:

Independently prepares, tracks, and processes all aspects of HR transactions to include: appointments, job edits and terminations of Post Docs, Residents, Graduate Students, PreDoc Fellows, , Adj. Clinical Postdocs. and Clinical Fellows, hires.  Obtains clearance for offer, submits background checks, for applicable position including auditing, preparation and completeness of requests ts.. Initiates badge requests, e-mail account requests, IT access requests and Onboarding/Offboarding requests for new hires and volunteers as necessary.

Submits provider enrollment and credentialing information to Shands Credentialing/Provider Enrollment office and VAMC for all incoming Adj. Clinical Postdocs, Clinical Fellows. Ensures that renewal submissions are received, completed, and returned by faculty and other healthcare professionals to meet deadlines as necessary.  Serves as departmental contact for any credentialing issues with these providers.  Tracks provider numbers and physician access to required Shands programs and distributes provider numbers to appropriate clinical and administrative staff. 

Tracks and posts leave for Housestaff and Residents, reviews and corrects Housestaff VA invoice each quarter.

Terminations process for all applicable staff to include remove e-mail account and terminate all access. Process leave cash-out   Notify COM on termination off boarding.

Review, interpret and implement Federal, State, and University of Florida laws, rules, and regulations regarding all aspects of Labor law and Human Resource management. Assure all employees and volunteers are compliance with State, UF, COM, and Professional training requirements.  This includes HIPPA, Compliance and Sexual Harassment trainings. Assure compliance with federal, state and agency policies, preparing special reports for Director and Principal Investigators.

Will write procedure manuals for the duties that this position is responsible for, will make sure that the manual stays current when changes are made.  Will serve as backup for the other position in the HR area. Will have to maintain knowledgeable in all HR related duties.

Expected Salary:

$20.59 – $26.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent oral, written and visual communication skills to include professionalism in appearance and demeanor. Must understand and practice excellent customer service and provide timely follow-up.

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with faculty, staff, and students.

Must be self-motivated, capable of working independently, as well as managing and prioritizing multiple projects, tasks, and be able to meet deadlines.

Candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced office and follow through with personnel/payroll actions. Must be able to work well in a team environment. Take ownership of the resolution of problems, be flexible and accountable, and manage conflicting responsibilities.
