2023-2024 Special Education Paraprofessional

The Special Education Paraprofessional provides assistance to teachers with classroom organization, management and instructional strategies.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides assistance to teachers with classroom organization, management and instructional strategies.
• Works individually with assigned students to ensure that each student benefits from the assignment or task. Uses learning tools, including computer-based training.
• Monitors students’ movement through cafeteria lines. Assists the custodian with cleaning cafeteria.
• Assists teachers with the preparation of boards and wall materials as it relates to daily lesson plans.
• Grades tests or student assignments.
• Makes copies and prints materials for classes.
• Assists administrators and other staff members in the orderly, expedient and safe transition of students from the classroom to the bus area.
• Assists with training volunteers.
