At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of the Built Environment at Aalborg University’s campus in Copenhagen a position as postdoc in three years to the research group Transformation of housing and places in the section of Town, Housing and Property is open for appointment from January 1 2023 up until December 31 2025. The main research areas of the section relate to energy and resource consumption in the built environment, universal design and accessibility to buildings, urban and landscape environments, and transportation, urban renewal and area-based initiatives, housing conditions and policies, mobility, regional development and architecture and design of the built environment.

Job description

The postdoc position involves analysis of administrative data from Statistics Denmark on regional development and inequalities at both individual and community level. The position demands experience with processing and analysis of large and complex data sets, advanced panel data models and causal analysis. In addition, the successful applicant has experience with design of surveys and analysis of survey data. Experience with Geographical Information Software (GIS) is an advantage. The position involves statistical analysis and descriptive reporting on migration patterns within and between cities; thus, knowledge of international literature on this subject is a requirement.

Qualification requirements

Appointment as a postdoctoral researcher presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD–level or similar scientific qualifications. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment.
