1(one) Research Scholarship for Master (BIM) – PTDC/BTA- BTA/0935/2020

Work Plan: The PhD Researcher will carry out research activities aiming to develop an enzymatic device to convert carbon dioxide into added-value compounds, under the scope of the “CO2Free” Project. The fellow will also participate in the project dissemination and communication activities. Key activities include lkinetic and mechanistic characterisation of Desulfovibrio formate dehydrogenases; analysis, treatment, interpretation and presentation of project results; planning, creation and optimisation of experimental protocols. The Researcher shall fully devote the whole of his/her professional activity to NOVA.id.FCT, on an exclusive basis.

Fellowship duration: The scholarship will have duration of 12 months, starting around November 2022, with the possibility of renewal up to the end of the project and in accordance with the provisions of Regulation of Research Fellowships from the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P (as stated and available at: http://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/regulamento.phtml.pt).

Documentation to be provided in the application: Applications must be formalized, mandatory, by sending the following documents, in a single PDF file:

Motivation letter;

Detailed curriculum vitae (including e-mail address);

Documents proving the academic degrees obtained and their classification;

For academic degrees conferred by a foreign Higher Education Institution, declaration of honour attesting the commitment to obtain the recognition of the academic degree and the conversion of the final classification to the Portuguese scale, or obtaining equivalence/recognition of academic degrees. If selected for the scholarship and accepted the award, it is mandatory to present one of the above indicated documents at the moment of the scholarship contracting.

A minimum of two reference letters which must include the contacts of the person who wrote it;

Up-to-date statement attesting the candidate’s professional status, with an indication of the nature of the bond, duties and teaching hours in annual average, if applicable, which may be replaced by a declaration under honour, if not exercising any professional or service provision activity.

Declaration of honour attesting the commitment to enrol in a Doctorate Program or a non-academic degree Course integrated in the educational project of a Higher Education Institution, if selected for the scholarship and accepted the award. Proof of enrolment in a doctorate or a non-academic degree Course integrated in the educational project of a Higher Education Institution is mandatory at the moment of scholarship contracting.
