10,000 Small Businesses Outreach & Recruitment Specialist – Part Time

This is a part-time, 25 hour per week, on campus position. This position is grant funded through November 2023 with the expectation of extension. 

SCOPE OF WORK: Performs outreach and recruitment oversee the building of the New Hampshire Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program from initial outreach to the interview phase of the program. This individual leads the development of the outreach and recruiting strategies, cultivates community partner relationships, implements tactics to identify and encourage small business owners to apply for the program, and engages in opportunities to increase brand awareness. This individual coordinates communication with prospects, scholars and alumni to assure consistency and frequency of key messaging for 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) and Manchester Community College / CCSNH system. This position reports to the MCC Executive Director for the Goldman Sach’s 10,000 Small Businesses program.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Works closely with Executive Director, and Program Manager to develop recruitment strategies for business and participants within CCSNH’s effort to expand its outreach to achieve projected outcomes of 100 new or deferred application per recruitment cycle. 
  • Collaborates with strategic partners to meet program goals and participates in creating outreach efforts and marketing initiatives to enroll small businesses in New Hampshire which includes underrepresented populations.
  • Assists with identifying, planning and conducting communications and lead information sessions at locations and community-based organizations providing services to small business owners.
  • Serves as liaison between strategic partners, CCSNH, industry sectors and organizations to provide referrals for new applications to the program.
  • Provides interested business industry and strategic partners, organizations (for example; chambers of commerce) information from a targeted list of eligible small business owners throughout the state.
  • Responsible for and collaborates with the New Hampshire 10KSB staff, Goldman Sachs program officer, and national partners to create and manage a strategic outreach plan and implement specifics tactics to recruit small business owners to meet and/or exceed program goals.
  • In collaboration with the outreach community nationally and locally, engage program activities and opportunities to build community locally to increase brand awareness of 10KSB.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director, potential strategic partners to oversee overall communication strategy for the NH 10KSB program.
  • Works closely and collaborates with the NH 10KSB staff to plan receptions, celebrations of success, webinars, business information sessions, networking events and other as needed occasions.
  • Represent 10KSB at all local and regional; statewide networking and sponsorship events. Coordinating tabling and expo opportunities.
  • Partners with management to effectively use data and analytics to identify trends and create solutions to increase outreach. 
  • Attends selected modules, clinics, and events to support the program (Note: initially may attend some portion of all mods in order to be familiar with the program).
  • In and out of state travel required.
  • Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations including Goldman Sachs Foundation guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with study in business administration, project management, marketing, account management, sales, human resources, business development, customer service and/or outreach. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work.

Experience: Three (3) years’ experience in program development, marketing, business communications and/or program outreach and enrollment for organizations, includes; business administration, project management, marketing, account management, sales, human resources, business development, and customer service Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of work experience.

License/Certification: Valid driver’s license for travel throughout the state.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in developing, implementing or working in career development/coaching services in sales, marketing, business development and/or customer services sectors. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Bilingual preferred.
