Area Specific Job Responsibilities
Assist with the daily operation of the Assessment Center.
Schedule and perform assessments for clients.
Enforce all organizational policies and ensure participants conduct themselves in an orderly manner. Report all problem users to the Operations Supervisor or your direct supervisor.
Record hourly participation counts.
Attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
Maintain the cleanliness and order of the Assessment Center.
Know your scope of practice and act accordingly.
Keep client information private.
Track client sessions.
Know and enforce all Recreational Sports policies and procedures.
Attend all mandatory monthly meetings, continuing education sessions, and mentor groups.
Act and dress professional and responsibly.
Participate in end-of-semester evaluations conducted by supervisor.
First responder in emergency situations
Communicate any problems and/or concerns to your supervisor as soon as possible.
Advertised Salary:
$11.50 per hour.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants applying for this requisition may be hired as either Student Assistants or OPS employees. Successful candidates who are UF students must be eligible to work on campus and maintain a 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week. Successful candidates who are not UF students may be hired as OPS employees.
First Aid, CPR, AED certification or ability to attain it within first week of employment
Available to work a minimum of 4 hours per week
Appraisers are required to attend a 4 hour new-hire training session, including practical components, prior to being placed on the schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
Participate in the RecSports Personal Training Preparation Program (audition and interview required for course admittance)
Active Personal Training Certification (NASM, NSCA, ACSM, or ACE preferred)
1+ year experience
Resume consisting of fitness-based experience
Experience and interest in the fitness field
